Post-World War II Spain found itself isolated, a victim of Franco's image abroad and his autarkic policy. However, the Cold War would allow Franco to reshuffle the deck. As well as taking us back to the dark days of Franco's rule, this documentary recounts the surprising role played by Hollywood cinema in the famous “Spanish miracle”.

Après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, l'Espagne s'est retrouvée isolée, victime de l'image de Franco à l'étranger et de sa politique autarcique. Mais la guerre froide va permettre à Franco de redistribuer les cartes. Tout en nous ramenant aux jours sombres du franquisme, ce documentaire retrace le rôle surprenant joué par le cinéma hollywoodien dans le fameux « miracle espagnol ».
