The world premiere of the ballet Midnight Souls by Carolyn Carlson, built around the monumental works of artist Jean-Michel Othoniel, installed at the heart of the Cour d’Honneur at the Palais des Papes in Avignon. Hand crafted in translucent iridescent glass, these unique artworks shine an ethereal light on the grand stage where Hugo Marchand, star dancer at the Paris Opera, and Caroline Osmont deliver a breathtaking and dream-like performance. Their dancing shows the mystery and beauty of romance while Juha Marsalo and Sara Orselli float across the stage like the ghosts of a doomed love, in this prestigious Palais that has housed centuries of history.
